Mesa Arizona Citrus Heights Stake

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Citrus Heights Stake,

We are grateful for this upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas season.  With you, we rejoice in the birth and life of Jesus Christ. As we celebrate His birth, our thoughts turn to His infinite atoning sacrifice, the greatest act of His love. And, as President Russell M. Nelson recently proclaimed, “The best is yet to come…because the Savior is coming again!”  We hope this season will be a special time for each of us to remember Him. 

We invite you to review the attached flyer for ideas on how you can remember and feel joy in Christ.  Please invite your friends to sacrament meeting and other special events to share this joy in Christ.  We also encourage you to share The Christ Child Christmas video with your friends and gather your family to view it.

One unique event this season will be a special Stake Conference on Sunday, December 15. This stake conference is a result of several general authorities that are in the Mesa area on Saturday, December 14 to provide leadership training. There will not be any changes to the Citrus Heights Stake leadership or stake or ward boundaries as a result of this stake conference. We are grateful to have Bishop L. Todd Budge of the Presiding Bishopric, who will preside.  He will be joined by Elder Brian J. Holmes Of the Seventy. (Please see the attached stake conference flyer).

We testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is our Savior and Redeemer and knows and loves each of us in a personal way.  He was born of Mary in a humble manager and will come again in great glory.  Let us each make time to adore Him during this Christmas Season.
